Men’s hoops takes the court versus Mass. College of Liberal Arts on November 13 in its home opener to tip-off the season. The Mountaineers then travel to Maryland for the 2015 Hoopsville National Invitational Classic for a weekend of play against some tough non-conference opponents, facing off with Salisbury University (Nov. 20) and the University of St. Thomas from Minnesota (Nov. 21). Afterwards, SVC begins the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) schedule with a 2015 championship rematch at home against league foe Regis College on December 3. The team plays one more NECC contest before the New Year, visiting Lesley University (Dec. 5) before visiting Vassar College (Dec. 9) for a non-league tip. SVC will try to defend its two-time Tri-State Shootout Tournament title (Dec. 12-13) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before concluding the fall semester with an away game at Bates College (Dec. 21). The Mountaineers then head to Middlebury College on January 3 for an inner-state matchup, the first between the two since the 2012-13 season. Southern Vermont resumes the NECC campaign, one that culminates with SVC’s Senior Day that ends the regular season on February 20 at home against Daniel Webster College. The Mountaineers will also host Lesley on Saturday, January 30 as the two teams celebrate the American Cancer Society’s Suits & Sneakers Weekend at the Mountaineer Athletic Center.

Women’s basketball takes the floor first in the 2015-16 campaign on the road against Lyndon State College in the Mountaineers’ season opener on November 14. The team then travels to Curry College the following weekend (Nov. 21-22) to play in the Colonel’s Tip-Off Tournament for the fourth straight year. SVC continues to play on the road, taking on Bay Path University on December 1 to open the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) schedule. Southern Vermont then returns for its home opener versus conference foe Becker College on December 3 before playing an additional two games to finish the fall semester. Following the New Year, the Mountaineers have two final non-conference games as they visit Mass. College of Liberal Arts (Jan. 4) and host the University of Maine Fort Kent (Jan. 10) before jumping back into the league schedule. SVC visits Regis College on January 23 in a rematch of the 2015 NECC Championship, and the Mountaineers later host RC February 20 to conclude the regular season during Southern Vermont’s Senior Day. SVC and Lesley University will also celebrate the American Cancer Society’s Suits & Sneakers Weekend at the Mountaineer Athletic Center on Saturday, January 30.
