BENNINGTON, Vt. – From now until December 16, the Southern Vermont College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting a toy drive to benefit BROC Community Action in Southwestern Vermont.

Donations can be dropped off at the Mountaineer Athletic Center on the SVC campus or at the Yankee One Dollar Store on Northside Drive in Bennington on select dates. Unwrapped new or used toys for all ages that are still in good, working condition will be accepted through the 16th and delivered to BROC. Help the Southern Vermont SAAC fill one of the 15-passenger athletics vans with donated items to be given to those less fortunate during the holiday season.

Boxes will also be available at each of the two women’s basketball games before the winter break; the Mountaineers play Saturday, December 7 at 1 p.m. against Regis College and again on Friday, December 13 at 7 p.m. against SUNY at Morrisville.

Southern Vermont student-athletes will be collecting donations at the Yankee One Dollar Store this upcoming Sunday (12/8), Tuesday (12/10), Wednesday (12/11), and next Saturday (12/14). Mountaineers will be outside of that location from 1-3 p.m. on the weekend dates and 4-6 p.m. during the week.
