Inside the numbers: Vierstra had a stellar performance in Southern Vermont’s opening-round playoff match against Bay Path on Tuesday. She posted game-highs of four goals and eight ground balls, and she tied the game-best of three caused turnovers. The senior added an assist to her line while helping SVC make it into the NECC semifinals for the fourth-straight year. Vierstra’s four goals against the Wildcats tied her career-high—a mark which she had reached twice before while at Southern Vermont. Her eight ground balls came one shy of her career-best, and her three caused turnovers were the most she had tallied since April 2, 2018.
What Coach Boyer is saying: "Aubrey really started to flourish during our postseason play. She was able to capitalize during off-ball movement and was a real game-changer during our Bay Path game. I am extremely proud of her and what she has accomplished this season.”
