Inside the numbers:
Stacey went 16-29 (.552) at the dish last week with five walks and three hit by pitches giving him a .615 on-base percentage. The senior tallied two triples and a pair of homers to chalk up an .897 slugging percentage, and he also stole six bases for SVC. Stacey scored 17 times while batting in another 11 runs, and, as always, he was stellar in centerfield as he made no errors in 30 total chances.
Stacey had a hit in seven of the Mountaineers' eight games last week with six of those being multi-hit performances. He now has 132 career hits to sit at eighth on the team’s all-time record list. Through 114 career games played, Stacey has recorded at least one hit in 85 of those; while having only 29 games on his record without a hit, the Mountaineer has 34 multi-hit performances.

What Coach Skonieczki is saying:
“Zack continues to be an intricate part of our baseball team. Aside from his offensive success, he has done an outstanding job patrolling centerfield and anchoring our defense. We are fortunate to have such a great player and leader in our program.”
