Inside the numbers: Santoro had a great day on Wednesday during Southern Vermont’s only game of the week—helping the Mountaineers defeat Williams on the road. He went 3-4 with a walk, a double, four RBIs, a run scored, and a stolen base; the junior tallied a two-run double in the top of the fourth before knocking in another pair with two outs in the seventh—putting SVC on top 6-5. Wednesday was Santoro’s third multi-hit game of the year and just the fourth of his Southern Vermont career; it was also the first time that he recorded three hits in a game as a Mountaineer.
What Coach Skonieczki is saying: “I am really proud of Nick this week. He had some key hits against a top-notch Williams team. Nick had some mature at bats and was a big contributor to our win.”
