Inside the numbers: Perez topped his season average of digs per set (3.78) during the Mountaineers’ only match last week as he posted 17 in Friday’s 3-1 loss at Newbury. He also had a kill and an assist against the Nighthawks. That contest marked the eighth time in 15 matches this year that the freshman reached double digits in the points column, and it was the sixth time that he chalked up at least 15. Perez is currently leading the NECC in digs per set, and he has the second-most total digs in Conference play with 52.
