ATHLETE OF THE WEEK FOR PERIOD ENDING 3/17/19
Kyle Liddy #10 (Baseball)
Jr. / 6-2 / Right-handed Pitcher/Infielder
Hometown: Oriskany, N.Y.
High School: Oriskany Jr./Sr. HS
Major: Business Administration
Inside the numbers: Liddy had a solid approach at the plate against Hamilton during Southern Vermont’s only game of the week. He went 2-4, one hit being a double, while also working a walk against the Continentals. The junior scored SVC’s first run of the day in the top of the fourth, and his RBI then came in the eighth as he roped a clutch single up the middle to tie the game at 3-3. Through the Mountaineers’ five games to that point, the contest against Hamilton was Liddy’s first multi-hit performance of the year.
What Coach Skonieczki is saying: “Kyle had a great day at the plate against Hamilton College. It is great to see him experience some success early on in the season. We are expecting him to continue being a key contributor to our program.”
