Inside the numbers: Guajardo went 3-10 last week while adding four RBI’s, three runs scored, a home run, and a triple to his line. The sophomore had a .357 on-base percentage and an .800 slugging percentage through the team’s four league games, and he was perfect at short through 13 total chances in the field. The home run was his first for the season—as was the triple which came in SVC’s 10-4 win over Newbury. Guajardo went 2-4 in the victory against the Nighthawks—that being his fifth multi-hit game of the year.
What Coach Skonieczki is saying: “Nick did a great job at the plate and in the field this week. He found the barrel multiple times this weekend—resulting in some really hard-hit balls and extra-base hits. It is great to see him swinging it well.”
