ATHLETE OF THE WEEK FOR PERIOD ENDING 4/7/19
Zac Cronk #2 (Baseball)
So. / 5-9 / Infielder
Hometown: Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
High School: Saratoga Central Catholic School
Major: Business Admininistration
Inside the numbers: Cronk went 3-6 during an NECC doubleheader at Mitchell on Sunday. The sophomore also posted four runs and an RBI through SVC’s only two games of the week. Cronk went 1-3 with two runs scored and a third batted in during the twin bill’s opener in Connecticut, and he then went 2-3 with another two runs scored in game two; the latter of those performances marked the Mountaineer’s seventh multi-hit game of the year, and he also got aboard a third time by getting hit by a pitch. Additionally, Cronk converted on all three defensive chances he saw in the field.
What Coach Skonieczki is saying: “Zac continues to do a great job at the plate for us. He has been a solid bat in our lineup—not just this week, but all season. Even more impressive is that he has not registered a strike out all year.”
